A RAF Spitfire (I think) and RN Corsair flying in formation over RNAS Culdrose on their open air day. The place was absolutely packed as there's a possibility that it was the last event of its kind for some time, so I stopped for lunch at a nearby cafe and took my camera with me.
Slightly annoyed that I managed to shoot them just as the tail of the Corsair overlapped the Spitfire, but nevermind! The shots succeeding it didn't have such a pretty sky, so I stuck with this one.
Amazing to think how a war was fought with these machines...
Curves, sharpening, vignette, border, and text applied in CS3.
Something's not quite right about it and I'm not entirely happy with it, so do feel free to comment.
Thanks a lot! I swore I got a great shot of the Spitfire coming towards me at one point, but I guess I must have dreamt it up. The bit that really annoyed me was that when I decided to go (and put my camera away), a Lancaster decided to show up!

I'm a bit of a vignette-whore, I must say As for the clouds, I think at the time I was trying to find a balance between keeping some form of detail and blowing them out.
I think I might re-edit this one just to see what it looks like...

superb shot. I think you're right, it is a Spitfire. Such a great aircraft. Loving the empty sky around the two planes, the overlap is quite cool Love it!
